The Shaldera Track Club is excited to kick off our 2018 Cross Country season on Aug 20, 2018. We will be accepting new applications until Sept 29, 2018 so don’t fret if you are just checking us out. We will be practicing Mondays, Tuesday, and Thursdays at 5:30pm with practices lasting no longer than 90 minutes (typically around an hour though). Practices will primarily be held at Frank Brown Park in Panama City Beach however we will do regular bridge runs and occasional beach sand training sessions.
Registration for the season will be $75/child which covers a t-shirt, uniform usage, Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) membership fees, training facility and equipment costs, and contributes to club membership dues and associated fees. Additional expenses may include meet fees, associated travel expenses (all meets except the Middle School State Championship and AAU National Championship should be doable in a day trip), and warm-ups which are optional. Note, it is up to individual families to choose which events to participate in however some events may require qualifying at prior events in order to be eligible. All coaches are volunteers who love the sport of athletics, have a great deal of experience coaching in various fields, and have undergone annual background checks by the AAU.
